Flossing at least once a day is often enough to help maintain your teeth and gum health. Make sure to get between each tooth, scraping along the sides where food debris and bacteria might reside. Note that floss should be thrown out after using it once – otherwise you might redeposit bacteria in between the teeth.

The Right Toothpaste

Stop brushing your teeth with toxic toothpaste. Most commercial toothpastes contain toxic ingredients like aspartame, sodium lauryl sulfate sorbitol, fluoride and glycerin. Toothpaste manufacturers know the ingredients are toxic, otherwise why would they warn you right on the label that it’s not safe to swallow.

Glycerin can de-mineralize your teeth. Sodium lauryl sulfate is widely recognized as a carcinogen. Sodium Fluoride is the main ingredient in toothpaste and rat poison

Artificial sweeteners saccharin, sorbitol, and aspartame can cause a whole host of health problems and yet somebody thought it was a good idea to brush our teeth with them?

You can find some great natural toothpastes at your health store or make your own with baking soda coconut oil. Once you start brushing with natural toothpastes for a while, you will find commercial toothpastes don’t clean teeth nearly as well and leave a bad chemical taste in your mouth.
